Actually, I seem to recall something tabout them leaving behind a written language (Linear B I think) wich is as yet undecoded.
Besides, how do you know they were egalitarian if you don't know how to read their language...and you wouldn't be able to do that unless you were one of...them!! O_o!

I saw this on your old gallery and was wishing for a way to comment, this is gorgeous! The tree is very well done, I wish you had a tutorial somewhere for how you do trees ( I could use some help!). I didn't notice the little hidden things before the others mentioned them, really neat, I always love looking for things. :)
