this is amazing work,so much detail. It is hard to be sure exactly just how a tree or castle would look...did you need references?

No, these are not based on any catroons. There are numerous influences, but the characters are all original. Many of these images are based on events in role-playing games, so if you discern a story behind the pictures, that is it.
