Just at a guess, I'd say that the pose of hte couple was deliberate, and was specified as part of the commission - it makes if a lot easier for the couple that might have commissioned it to 'step into' the scene, as it were, as I gather that the image...
Just at a guess, I'd say that the pose of hte couple was deliberate, and was specified as part of the commission - it makes if a lot easier for the couple that might have commissioned it to 'step into' the scene, as it were, as I gather that the image is supposed to represent an idealised version of their own wedding. As usual, the level of detail is stunning - I can't say too many times how much the texture and shading work on these impress me.
