You know... There's really no cause to be rude. When an artist solicits comments, not all of them have to be sycophantic raving and 'ZOMG! So KEWL!'. There's not a damned thing wrong with constructive criticism and advice, and you don't have to be a ...
You know... There's really no cause to be rude. When an artist solicits comments, not all of them have to be sycophantic raving and 'ZOMG! So KEWL!'. There's not a damned thing wrong with constructive criticism and advice, and you don't have to be a great artist yourself to say what it might be that bothers you about a picture, or what you think might not look right or natural. You don't have to be able to /draw/ a horse to know how one looks when it runs.
I think Mr. Ackegård's artwork is absolutely stunning - I certainly couldn't do anything even remotely like it - but there's not an artist on the planet that can't improve their craft, and constructive criticism can help them do that. Calling someone stupid for offering that criticism is arrogant and rude.
Certainly Mr. Ackegård can take or leave any advice he chooses - but I don't see him or the people that run this site for/with him complaining when someone tries to be helpful.
