Posted by Guest on Tue 04 Jan 2005 05:11:39 PM EST buckokewl. best, i love it; really rrreeeaaalllyyy awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Posted by Guest on Sun 09 Jan 2005 12:06:34 PM EST pip_n_merry@yahoo.comI'm sorry , but this picture is not to great. I applaud the detail, but the angles and movements are completley off. For the artist of this piece, i would advice you to bring the right horses legs in to a sharp curl to give the horse the a running appearance. The artist did a wonderful job on the stag and the left horse. I would also like to say that it would be better if the artist put more detail in the face of the character so it would match the detail of the rest of the picture and not look like anime. Overall, good picture. And I think its perfection on paper. So go sit on an egg slicer. Posted by Guest on Fri 13 Jan 2006 05:13:36 PM EST JaimeYou know... There's really no cause to be rude. When an artist solicits comments, not all of them have to be sycophantic raving and 'ZOMG! So KEWL!'. There's not a damned thing wrong with constructive criticism and advice, and you don't have to be a great artist yourself to say what it might be that bothers you about a picture, or what you think might not look right or natural. You don't have to be able to /draw/ a horse to know how one looks when it runs. I think Mr. Ackegård's artwork is absolutely stunning - I certainly couldn't do anything even remotely like it - but there's not an artist on the planet that can't improve their craft, and constructive criticism can help them do that. Calling someone stupid for offering that criticism is arrogant and rude. Certainly Mr. Ackegård can take or leave any advice he chooses - but I don't see him or the people that run this site for/with him complaining when someone tries to be helpful. I agree fully with Pip and the two posters before me. Posted by anonymous (guest) on Fri 08 Feb 2008 04:15:26 PM EST |
