No, i think girls can definitely swing heavy weapons. as for the sword, i'm sorry but it looks like a Longsword.

That's one damn nice pic! Although I usually dislike pictures in which characters hold totally oversized weapons, this is nice.. Even when those hands cannot possibly have enough muscle power to be physically able to use that heavy piece of metal. But DAMMIT it looks good :D
