haha! when i read "dingbats" i always take it to mean stuff like wingdings and such.. typography-style. ^_^
so when i saw this i was like, "eh? he make a picture of a piper leading *fonts* away from a town?"
but then i saw it was tiny wyrm-dragons.. aww, so cute!! ^^m/

It reminds me of a series of books I read by Anne McAffrey. There's a girl named Menolly who befriends fire lizards, which look like small dragons. She can sing and make her own pipes. I saw this and My first thought was "Hey, that's Menolly!" Great Artwork.
